General Motors Uzbekistan Jsc Revives Automobile Sales
Having your own automotive industry is an important element of national pride and security. These trends are well known in highly developed and rapidly developing countries of the world, where there is comprehensive government support for the development of the industry.
With the help of the Government of the country, with the participation of representatives of ministries and departments, experts, including international ones, by analyzing the opinions and reviews of the population, Uzavtosanoat JSC studied the principles of pricing and the validity of price calculations for manufactured cars.
According to the results of the analysis, a difficult and unpopular decision was made among the public about the need to increase retail prices for individual models of manufactured cars by an average of 7.7%.
At the same time, retail prices for the most affordable and popular among the population models “Spark”, “Nexia” and “Cobalt” remain unchanged.
When making this decision, the difficult financial condition of General Motors Uzbekistan JSC and the unprofitability of the production of certain car models were taken into account, but, first of all, we managed to prevent a sharp increase in prices due to the optimization of excise tax rates and a decrease in dealer margins.
It should be noted that if retail prices for automobiles and excise tax rates were maintained, the company, and therefore the state as the main shareholder, would have suffered huge losses by the end of 2018, which in the future could burden ordinary taxpayers even if they did not purchase cars.
In order to increase the safety and comfort system in the near future, at the request of the client, the cars will be additionally equipped with new options, such as directional stability and airflow of the rear passenger compartment, heated seats and windshield, and others.
In addition, we inform you that the delivery of cars under agreements concluded before August 1, 2018, for which at least 85% of individuals have made an advance payment and 100% payment by legal entities, will be carried out at the prices and terms specified in the agreements.
