Asaka Automobile Plant Received Biq Iii Certificate

Asaka Automobile Plant GM Uzbekistan received the third degree of integration of quality into the production processes of the plant - BIQ III (Built-In Quality) certificate.

This was the result of large-scale work carried out at the car factory over the past 3 years and aimed at ensuring compliance with all quality requirements. Over the past time, a complete modernization of technological equipment has been carried out, its structure has been updated, the latest GM systems and tools for production management have been introduced, company employees have undergone appropriate training at GM plants in South Korea, China, Thailand, India, etc.

The audit was conducted by specialists from General Motors Corporation from South Korea, China, the USA and India.

The certificate was awarded based on an audit by General Motors International. GM International Vice President Phil Keenley arrived at the presentation ceremony.

To obtain a certificate, it is necessary to fully comply with the requirements for 44 indicators. The result of the audit showed that the plant's compliance with the requirements is 100% (the minimum level is 95.5%).

The third degree of integration of quality into the production processes of the plant allows the car plant to master almost the entire line of cars on global GM platforms.

The degree to which quality is integrated into factory production processes (BIQ) is determined in accordance with the level of implementation of GMS.

The Global Production System (GMS) has been introduced in order to improve production and control the quality of manufactured products at the plant. It is divided into 5 basic principles: staff involvement, standardization, integrated quality, short lead time, continuous improvement.

Thus, the global GMS production system introduced at the plant ensures the unity of high standards of safety and quality, allows you to develop and apply the best processes, methods and technologies.

Today, the car factory in the city of Asaka has more than 8 thousand employees.
