Gm Uzbekistan Plant Produced 220 Thousandth Car
Uzavtosanoat JSC reports that on December 29, 2018, the GM Uzbekistan plant in Asaka produced a 220,000th car, which became the Chevrolet Nexia. Thus, the goal set by the management to achieve 220 thousand units of domestic automobile production by the end of the year has been achieved.
It should be noted that for the first time in the history of the company, the record for the production of cars per month was broken. So, in December 2018, 34,117 cars were produced, and this is more than 1,000 cars per day. Moreover, the cost of each model was reduced by 10-16%, and import costs by 73 million US dollars.
The outgoing year has been very fruitful in the company's activities. So, this year the company launched new and customer-friendly services, such as “We are going to you”, “Car dealerships under the open sky”, as well as the innovative online and mobile platform “Uzavtosavdo”, which allowed each buyer to purchase the desired car as conveniently as possible, fast and transparent. The first multi-brand car dealership in Nurafshon was also opened in Uzbekistan, which is ready to accept the first customers and provide them with the most comfortable conditions for choosing, purchasing, technical inspection and even tuning cars.
In addition, Asaka Automobile Plant GM Uzbekistan was awarded the BIQ III (Built-In Quality) certificate - the third degree of integration of quality into production processes. A complete modernization of technological equipment was carried out, its structure was updated, the latest GM systems and tools for production management were introduced, and the company's employees underwent appropriate training at GM plants in South Korea, China, Thailand, and India. At all enterprises of Uzavtosanoat JSC, the KPI system has been successfully implemented - key performance indicators for employees.
It should be noted that in the new year, the Asaka Automobile Plant GM Uzbekistan will go on vacation for 15 days.
